Rank-and-file power
Being unionized is not the end of organizing.
When a contract is already in place, workers may not be able to renegotiate everything immediately. But coworkers can still become more informed, connected, participatory, and useful to one another.
Listen. Map. Learn the agreement. Document patterns. Coordinate. Choose one concrete improvement.
Start with listening.
Do not begin by recruiting people into somebody else's plan. Begin by learning what coworkers actually experience and what they want to improve.
- What is making work harder than it needs to be?
- Which parts of the agreement are confusing or inconsistently understood?
- Do new workers know who can help them?
- Which problems keep repeating across crews, departments, or venues?
Turn frustration into shared memory.
Use the union, not a shadow version of it.
3DVR should help workers prepare better questions, preserve useful knowledge, and participate more effectively. It should not impersonate a steward, business representative, bargaining committee, or legal authority.
Protect people before data.
Private by default. Do not publish coworker names, personnel details, sensitive stories, or accusations. Do not create retaliation lists. Confirm contract and legal questions with the union or another qualified source.
